Caius Colledge, Cambridge University record for John Crockett Fish from 1852 onwards
His brother John Dent Fish went to the same College before him.

John Crockett Fish schooled at Blackheath Proprietary & Private (Bramdean Rectory Tutor Helier Touzel)
John Crockett Fish, (in the school record he is H Fish. The front index H is crossed out and it looks like JC added?) His sponsor was Captain John Fish of Sussex Place Slough. John C Fish is also mentioned briefly in the school’s history.

Blackheath Proprietary School early 1800's

John Crockett Fish went from Blackheath Propriety School (assuming he was there from 8 - 15 yrs old ie 1842 to 1849) to Bramdean Rectory tutored by Helier Touzel BA. MA. Cambridge University (1850 1851). This data is confirmed by the 1851 census placing John Crockett Fish and his tutor Helier Touzel Rector of Bramdean both resident at Bramdean Old Rectory, ie meaning that the two private students are in fact boarding at the Old Rectory for their tuition.
This image of the Bramdean Old Rectory comes from Wikimedia, so would like to acknowledge the source of this image.

John Crockett Fish was privately tutored at Bramdean School (1850 - 1851) in preparation for his studies at Caius College Cambridge University which he starts in 1852.

John Crockett Fish went to Caius Colledge, Cambridge University from 1852 onwards
His brother John Dent Fish went to the same College before him.

John Crockett Fish lived at 92 Wimpole Street London as shown below

The red text above in the transcribed Will of John Crockett fish,

highlights more evidence that the Charlotte Winn's 3 children are the children of John Crockett fish, he effectively

takes full responsibility for the maintenance, education and support for HIS 3 children.

John Fish Winn otherwise Tremayne, born 15 March 1873
Herbert Archibald Fish Winn Otherwise Tremayne born 28 November 1874
Ethel Maud Mary Fish Winn otherwise Tremayne born 25 November 1876

The birth certificate above of Lawrence John Fish Winn and Herbert Archibald Fish Winn indicating their mother was a single women and no father mentioned, indicates that John Crockett Fish was the father as the child takes Fish into his name, and all the children gets maintenance, support and education payments after John Crockett Fish dies in 1889 ( Will above). John Crockett Fish takes full responsibility for the costs of raising the 3 children of Charlotte Winn later Charlotte Tremayne.

Dr John Crockett Fish was also buried in the same grave as Rev John Dent Fish his brother in 1889. In 1861 the registered owners of the grave were Wilkinson Dent & John Crockett Fish and the potential heirs would have been the executors of the last of these two people to die.  In this case Wilkinson Dent died in 1886 and Dr John Crocket Fish died in 1889. The executor of John Crockett Fish's will was his nephew John Dent of 8 Fitzroy Square, London, United Kingdom.
